Aspirations to Carry Through

We are here again, to enter a new chapter in our lives, another new year. 365 days, and inside this range of time, we could do a lot of things.

Reminiscing to my past self, as on how I wanted my 2020 to be, I could say that I have changed in all aspects. I thought that due to the pandemic, I will not be able to reach those goals of mine. But it's the other way around. Last year has been a roller coaster to us, undeniably. It may caused us a lot of damage especially in our health, yet, looking to the positive side, inside our homes greater family bond was formed.

With the situations and experiences last year, I've gone through character development. And it is something that I want to attain since when I started my teenage years.

Welcoming 2021, there are things that I want to keep from last year and there are things that I want to change that hinders me to become a better person. Having new year's resolution for me, keeps people motivated and become better versions of themselves.

In view of my personality, to be assertive is what I am trying to practice. As being an introverted person, I have low self-esteem, yet, I am in the progress of building it. I got used to seeing the positive side in every situation and I want to keep it. Also, the patience I built up in every little thing. To the commitments I have since last year, I hope to carry onto them. Having peace, joy and love for me is enough.

I am just like any other teenage who likes to enjoy life. And being in this phase, I do not like to rush things but actually to slow down and enjoy every moment. To do my best as well as to learn. They say that anxiety is normal, but I think mine is dreadful. As I got to build it for years. But I am sanguine to overcome it and be patient with its steps on the way.

With my academic performance, I was too tight on myself to the point that I lost interest on everything considering of the mindset I had, believing the works I've done weren't enough even though I put all my best on it. But this time, I will not let it happen again. Only a few months left before entering the senior high school. And I still have some doubts on what path I'm going to take. Hopefully, I will be able to be precised and confident about it.

Summing it all up, I believe that everything takes time. And with those resolutions I have, I hope to be it. As well as to keep those in mind every day. To be patient with process, to understand that it will be all worth it at the end and to not be distracted nor dismayed by the circumstances along the way. By the end of the year, hopefully, I would be blissful that I attained those and became a better person generally.
